Solution :-

Given :-

  • Length of a Rectangle is three times its width.
  • Perimeter of the Rectangle = 96m

Let :-

  • Width of the Rectangle = x
  • Length = 3x

Now, We know that :-

Perimeter of the Rectangle = 2(l+b)

\leadsto\sf{Perimeter = 2(3x+x)}

\leadsto\sf{Perimeter = 2(4x)}

\leadsto\sf{Perimeter = 8x}

Also, Perimeter = 96m (Given)

\sf{\therefore~8x=96m}

\leadsto\sf{x=\cancel\frac{96m}{8}}

\leadsto\sf{x=12m}

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Then;

  • \red{\sf{Width = x = 12m}}
  • \purple{\sf{Length = 3(12m) = 36m}}
