Answer:

let the breadth be x.

length = 2x.

area = 520 cm ²

then, 2x × x = 520.

or, 2x = 520

or, x = 520

2

or x = 260.

then, breadth = 260 cm

length = 260/2 = 130 cm

Given

length of a rectangle is twice its Breadth

Area of the Rectangle is 520cm²

To Find

We have to find the length and breadth of the Rectangle

\sf\huge\bold{\underline{\underline{{Solution}}}}

Since,we don't know the length and breadth of the Rectangle so,let us assume some Variable for it.

Let the breadth of the Rectangle be 'x'

then the length be 2x

Since,area of Rectangle is given so,we will apply formula for area of Rectangle and put values of length and breadth in it.

Area of Rectangle=length × breadth

Area of Rectangle= (2x )× (x)

⇒520= 2x²

⇒x²=520÷2=260

⇒x=√260=2√65

⇒x=16.12cm

hence, breadth of the Rectangle is 16.12cm

length be 2×16.12=32.24cm

Check

Area of Rectangle= 16.12 × 32.24= 519.70cm²

Area of Rectangle= 520cm²(approx)
