Step-by-step explanation:

We know that,

Range=(Largest observation-Smallest observation)

So,

Range=50-32=18

We know that,

After rearranging the given observations in ascending order,If the number of observations(n) is odd,

median =  (\frac{n + 1}{2} )th \: term \:  \\ from \: beginning

So,In ascending order,the observations

are

32,35,36 ,37, 38, 38, 38, 40 ,42 ,43, 43, 43, 45, 47 ,50

Since,there are 15 observations in total,

median =(  \frac{15 + 1}{2} )th \: term

So,

median = 8th \: term

The 8 th term from beginning is 40.

Hence,

40 is the median of the given data.
