18.Three resistors 5 ohm ,10 ohm , 30
ohm are connected in parallel with 12 V
battery. Calculate
a. Current through each resistor ​

given:-

-R1 = 5 ohm

-R2 = 10 ohm

-R3 = 30 ohm

-(potential difference) V = 12 V

as given resistances are connected in parallel , so current will be different and potential difference remains same...

According to ohm's law:-

V= IR

I=V÷R

let the I1 ,I2 and I3 are the current flowing through these resistance.

so, I1 = V÷R1 = 12÷5 = 2.4 A

I2= V÷R2 = 12÷10 = 1.2 A

I3 = V÷R3 = 12÷30 = 0.4 A

hence , 2.4 A , 1.2 A & 0.4 A are the current through each resistor..
