Two particles A and B are in motion, wavelength
related to particle A is 5 x 10-8 m. If the
momentum of particle B is half of A then what
will be the wavelength of B :-
(1) 2.5 x 10-8 m (2) 1.25 x 10-8 m
(3) 1 x 10-7 m (4) 1 x 10-8 m

Answer:

wavelength is inversely proportional to the momentum

p=h/Lambda

therefore wavelength will be two times of A

2*5 x 10-8 m

=10*10-8 m

1*10-7 m
