Ohms law states that the current in a conductor is directly proportional to the voltage and inversely proportional to its resistance.

Resistance is the measure of opposition to current flow in a circuit. Its SI unit is ohm, symbolized by the Greek letter omega (Ω).

Resistance is caused by the freely moving electrons colliding with themselves or with the ions present in the conductor.

hope this helps
