Hydroge and oxygen are present in water in the ratio 1:8 . So when 9g of water is electrolysed 1g of hydrogen and 8g of oxygen is formed . Similarly when 18g of water will be electrolysed 2g of hydrogen and 16g of oxygen will be produced.
