Answer:

speed of the boat on its speedometer. = 35 Miles/hr

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say Speed of Boat  in Speedometer or still water = S Miles /hr

Speed of current / Stream = 5 Miles/hr

Upstream Speed =  S - 5  miles /hr

Downstream Speed = S + 5 Miles/hr

Distance = Speed * Time

=> 2(S - 5) = 1.5(S + 5)  = Distance

=> 2S - 10 = 1.5S + 7.5

=> 0.5S = 17.5

=> S = 35

speed of the boat on its speedometer. = 35 Miles/hr
