19. A mixture consists of 45%5/11 sand, 36%4/11 gravel and rest cement. Find the weight of mixture which contains 12.5 kg wt of sand. Also determine the weight of mixture that will contain 4 kg wt of cement.​

Quantity of sand in the mixture = 500/11 %

Quantity of gravel in the mixture = 400/11%

Quantity of cement in the mixture =

100% - 500/11% - 400/11%

=> 200/11%

Let X kg of mixture contain 12.5 kg sand

But 100% mixture contains 500/11% of sand

=> x/100 = 12.5/500

=> x = 12.5 × 100 / 500 × 11

=> x= 2.5 × 11

=> 27.5 kg

Let y kg of mixture contain 4kg cement

But 100% of mixture contains 200/11%

=> y/100% = 4/200/11%/

=> y = 22kg
