Answer :-

✳ Hence we get cost of laying the grass

= ₹20.5 per square foot

Concept :-

Here the concept of Area of Rectangle is used. According to this concept the area of a rectangular plane is given by :-

» Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

Solution :-

Given,

Length of the rectangular land = l = (63/4) feet

Breadth of the rectangular land = b = (16/3) feet

Then, now let us find the area of the given rectangular piece of land.

Area of rectangle = Length(l) × Breadth(b)

Area of rectangle = (63/4) × (16/3)

Area of rectangle = 21 × 4

Area of rectangle = 84 foot²

Hence we get that, area of rectangular piece of land = 84 foot².

Here we are given, the total cost of grassing the field. If we divide the total cost by total area, we can get cost per area because cost per area is directly depended on the area and total cost.

This is given by :-

▶ Rate of grassing = Total Cost/Area

▶Rate of grassing = 1722/84

▶ Rate of grassing the field = 20.5 ₹

✳ Hence we get cost of laying the grass

= ₹20.5 per square foot

Area of square = (Side)²

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

Perimeter of square = 4 × side

Area of circle = πr²

where r is the radius.

Perimeter of circle = 2πr

where r is the radius.
