Hey buddy....here's your answer.....

Pneumatophores are present in mangrove plants only, like Heritiera fomes, Ceriops sp. , Excoecaria sp. etc. These are the aerial roots for respiration of those plants. Actually in that area the quantity of salt in the soil is excessive. That’s why the root can’t receive sufficient oxygen from soil. So, some roots grow upward and come above the ground. These roots posses several tiny pores on their surface, by which they can intake oxygen and release carbon di oxide.These pores are called lenticel.
