LQP stands for Licensing Quotas Permit, while LPG stands for Liberalisation Privatisation Globalisation.
During the 1 and 6 plan public sector was assigned primar role in the process of growth.
private sector was to play a secondary role and was facing licensing policy industry and trade were subjected to many restrictions including qouata of production.while public sector enterprise became centre for corruption while private sector failed to Modernise.
after economic reform the policy changes from LQP to LPG to Modernise the public sector so that domestic products become able to compete with international products as is was failed during LQP.
