So it will cover 30° in 1hr
360÷12=30
A minute hand covers 360° in 60mins
So it will cover 6° in 1min

At 3 the angle covered by hour hand is 90°
and the angle covered by minute hand at 25 mins is 25×6=150
So 150-90=40
