Step-by-step explanation:

(i) Side, a=8m

Volume = a^3

= (8)^3

= 8×8×8

= 512m

Total surface area of a cube = 6^2

= 6× [8]^2

= 384m^2

Lateral surface area of a cube = 4^2

= 4×[8]^2

= 4×64

= 256m^2

Diagonal of cube = √3×a

= √3×8

= √1.732×8 (the value of √3 is taken to as 1.732)

= 13.856m

(ii) side, a = 6.5m

Volume = a^3

= (6.5)^3

= 6.5×6.5×6.5

= 274.625m

Total surface area = 6^2

= 6×6.5×6.5

= 253.5m

Lateral surface area = 4^2

= 4×6.5×6.5

= 169m sq

Diagonal of cube = √3×a

= √3×6.5

= 1.732×6.5

= 11.258m
