  1. stars seen higher due to atmospheric refraction the refraction of earth changes continuously when the light reaches from the stars to the surface of the earth then due to atmospheric refraction our eyes produces the backward image of the star from the actual one and thus we see the Star higher than actually they are
  2. the advance sunrise and delayed sunset is also due to the same phenomena which is atmospheric refraction by actual Sunrise we mean the actual crossing Over The Horizon by the sun
  3. Rainbow is a natural spectrum appearing in the sky after the rain shower it is caused by the Dispersion of the light by the tiny water droplets present in the atmosphere the rain was always formed in the direction opposite to that of the Sun the water droplets act like a small prism the refracted disperse the incident sunlight that reflect it internally and finally refract it again when it comes out of the rain drop
