Solution:--

we know,

(a-b)²=a²+b²-2ab. (2)

so,

(2)²=a²+b²-2×5

=>4=a²+b²-10

=>a²+b²=14. ...(3)

so,

(a³-b³)

=(a-b)(a²+b²+ab)

=(2)(14+5)

=2(19)

=38
