hi!

let the no. be 10x + y

now,

it is given that, x + y = 5

therefore; x=5-y  .......(1)

and,  10x + y + 27 = 10y + x            (i.e. the reversed no.)

10x - x + 27 = 10y - y

9x + 27 = 9y

9x - 9y = -27

9(x-y) = -27

x-y = -27/9

x-y = -3

(5 - y)-y = -3            ..........from (1)

5-2y = -3

-2y = -3-5

-2y = -8

y = -8 / -2

y = 4

now,

x = 5-y

x = 5-4

x = 1

thus the no. 10x + y = 10(1) + 4

10+4

14 is the original no.
