Answer:

Let, The equation

3x + y = 15 ======> (1)

2x - y =5 =========> (2)

Solving

[ 3x + y = 15] 2

[ 2x - y = 5] 3.

=======>by elimination method

[6x + y = 15]

[6x - y = 5]

y = 10

In eqn (1)

3x + y = 15

3x + 10 = 15

3x = 15 - 10

3x = 5

x = 5/3

The required value of x = 5/3 and y = 10
