  • Steroidal transformation mainly occurs at the interface of the aqueous and solvent phases. And also for lipophilic materials it has  a poliphase system.
  • In aqeous phase cell material contaning the cel material or enzyme is overlayed with the water immiscible fluid phase in which the substrate has been dissolved.
  • The substrate passes away slowly into t he aqueous phase and as the trasnformation proceeds, the product passes bcak in to the solvent phase.
