Answer:

let us assume first numbers is x

therefore,

x+x+1+x+2+x+3= 27×4

4x+6= 108

4x = 108-4

4x = 104

x= 104/4

x = 26

first no - x= 26

second number = x+1 = 26+1 = 27

third number = x+2=26+2 = 28

forth number = x+3 =26+3 = 29

therefore largest number is 29

ANSWER :-

  • 30.

 \\

GIVEN :-

  • Average of four consecutive even numbers is 27.

 \\

TO FIND :-

  • Largest number among these.

 \\

SOLUTION :-

Even numbers are multiple of 2 . Hence , these numbers will be also multiple of 2.

Let the even consecutive numbers be ,

→ (2x) , (2x+2) , (2x+4) and (2x+6)

→ Total numbers are 4.

→ Average of these numbers is 27.

 \\  \boxed{ \sf \: Average =  \dfrac{Sum \: of \: all \: numbers}{Total \: numbers} } \\  \\

Putting values we get...

 \\   \implies\sf \: 2 7 =  \dfrac{2x + (2x + 2) + (2x + 4) + (2x + 6)}{4}  \\  \\   \implies\sf \: 27 \times 4 = 2x + 2x + 2 + 2x + 4 + 2x + 6 \\  \\   \implies\sf \: 108 = 8x + 12 \\  \\   \implies\sf \: 8x = 108 - 12 \\  \\  \implies \sf \: 8x = 96 \\  \\   \implies\sf \: x =   \cancel\dfrac{96}{8}  \\  \\   \implies  \underline{\boxed{\sf \:  x = 12}} \\  \\

Numbers are :-

2x = 2(12)

ㅤㅤ = 24

2x + 2 = 2(12) + 2

ㅤㅤㅤㅤ= 26

2x + 4 = 2(12) + 4

ㅤㅤㅤㅤ= 28

2x + 6 = 2(12) + 6

ㅤㅤㅤㅤ= 30

Numbers are 24 , 26 , 28 and 30.

Hence , largest number among these is 30.

MORE TO KNOW :-

→ Consecutive numbers are written as (x) , (x+1) , (x+2) and so on.

→ Consecutive odd numbers are written as (2x + 1) , (2x + 3) , (2x + 5) and so on.
