Answer:

7 cm = 7/10 dm = h

5mm=5/100 dm= r

volume=22/7 rr h

...find volume

...the volume will be in dm cube . 1 dm cube = 1 litre

volume will be = 55/ 10000 litre

so, 55/10000 litre = 310 word

so, 1 litre =

so, 1/5 litre = ...

Given :-

Height of barrel = 7cm

Diameter of barrel = 5cm

Full Barrel of Ink can write 330 words.

To find :-

How many words will use one fifth litre of ink.

Solution :-

We have been given the dimensions of the barrel. We have been given that the barrel full of ink writes 330 words.

We have not been given how many litres of ink is able write 330 words.

Therefore, we will find volume of the barrel which will tell us how much ink 330 words consume.

Since the barrel is cylindrical in shape,

Radius of barrel = diameter/2

= 2.5mm

Height of barrel = 7cm = 70mm

Volume = πr²h

= 22/7 × 2.5 × 2.5 × 70

= 1375 mm³

1 cm³ = 1000 mm³

1375 mm³ = 1.375 cm³

1 cm³ = 1 mL

1.375 cm³ = 1.375 mL

Now we know 330 words consume 1.375 mL.

one fifth of litre = 1000/5

= 200 mL

We have to find how many words we can write with 200 mL of ink.

137.5 mL can write = 330 words

1 mL can write = 330/1.375 words

Therefore, 200mL can write

= 330/1.375 × 200

= 48,000 words
