Step-by-step explanation:

Let the breadth be x

So, the length is 3x

Perimeter of rectangle=48

According to the question

perimeter \: of \: rectangle = 2(l + b) \\  =  > 48 m= 2(3x + x) \\ 48m = 2(4x) \\ 48m = 8x \\ x = 48 \div 6 \\ x = 6m

therefore the breadth of rectangle is=6m

And length=3x=(3×6)m=18m

area \: of \: rectangle = l \times b \\  =  > (18 \times 6)m {}^{2}  \\  = 108m {}^{2}
