Answer:

on dropping the turmeric solution if turmeric turns to red it's naoh(base), on dropping the turmeric solution if solution doesn't affected the red color then it's a sugar solution (neutral), on dropping the turmeric solution if red colour again turns to yellow than it's a hcl(acid).

The given three liquids are Hydrochloric acid (HCl) , Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) and Sugar solution.

The indicator given is Turmeric indicator. Turmeric indicator turns into yellow in acidic solutions and it turns into red in basic solutions and no change in neutral solutions.

When a drop of each substance given is dropped on turmeric indicator .

• If it turns into yellow , then the substance must be hydrochloric acid.

• if it turns into red , then the substance must be sodium hydoxide .
