19. Two men are on diametrically opposite side of a
tower. They measure the angles of elevation of the
top of the tower as 20° and 24° respectively. If the
height of the tower is 40 m, find the distance between
them.
[Hint. Use tables to find tan 20° and tan 24°]​

tan 20 = p/x # .36 = 40/x # x = 40/.36 = 111 approx

tan 24 = p/y # .44 = 40/y # y= 40/.44 = 90 approx

x+y = 90+ 111 = 201 meters
