Here's the answer :-

194 * 198

= (196-2)(196+2)

= (196)^2 - (2)^2

= (190+6)^2 - 4

= 36100+2280+36 - 4

= 38412

There is no such identity for multiplying these two numbers. But I'll give you one way to solve:

190+4*190-1
190(190+4) - 1(190+4)
36100+760-190+4
36100+570+4
