To find : What is has overall  profit percentage

Solution:

Let say unit Cost price of linc pens & cello pens = C

Total Cost Price = 3850C + 1848C  =  5698C

He sells linc pens in such a way that  he can buy 650 linc pens with the selling price of 481  linc pens

=> 481 S₁  = 650C

=> 1 S₁  = 650C/481

=> 3850S₁  = 3850 * 650C/ 481  

he can only buy 408 cello pens with the  selling price of 629 cello pens.

=> 629S₂  =  408C

=> S₂ = = 408C/629

=> 1848S₂ = 1848 * 408C / 629

Total Selling Price =  3850 * 650C/ 481    +  1848 * 408C / 629

=3850 * 650C/ 37 * 13    +  1848 * 408C / 37 * 17

= ( 3850 * 650 * 17 + 1848 * 408 * 13)C / ( 37 * 17 * 13)

= (236852)C/37

कुल लाभ = (236852)C/37  - 5698C

= 26100‬C/37

लाभ  %  =  (26100‬C/37 * 5698) * 100

= 12.38 %
