Answer:

a-b= 6

ab= 16

(a-b)² = 6²

a²+b²-2ab = 36

a²+b²= 36+2×16

a²+b²=36+32

a²+b²= 68

Answer:

a - b = 6

a = b + 6

a {}^{2}   + b {}^{2}  = (b + 6 ) {}^{2}  + b {}^{2}

b {}^{2}  + 36 + 12b \:  + b {}^{2}  = 0

2b {}^{2}  + 12b \:  + 36 = 0

b {}^{2}  + 6b  + 18 = 0
