  1. Cost of1kg1kg or 1000g1000g( grams ) of rice = 50rupees50rupees .
  2. Cost of 1g1g rice = 501000501000rupees .
  3. Cost of 100grams100grams of rice will be= 501000∗100501000∗100

we have , 5000/1000=5000/1000= 55 rupees only.

The problem can be solved using unitary method as below

1000 gm rice cost ₹50

Hence 100gm rice cost

= 50/1000 × 100

= 50/10

= ₹5
