Solution:

We have ;

∠1 = 2x

∠2 = 3x - 5°

Also,

It is given that , ∠1 and ∠2 are linear pairs of angles .

Also,

We know that , the sum of linear pair of angles is 180° .

Thus,

=> ∠1 + ∠2 = 180°

=> 2x + 3x - 5 = 180°

=> 2x + 3x = 180° + 5°

=> 5x = 185°

=> x = 185°/5

=> x = 37°

Now,

∠1 = 2x = 2×37° = 74°

∠2 = 3x - 5 = 3×37° - 5° = 111° - 5° = 106°

Hence,

1 = 74°

2 = 106°
