Given,
First term = -4.
Common difference = 2.
20th term = ?
We have,
nth term of an A.P. = First term + ( No. of terms - 1 ) common difference
⇒ 20th term = -4 + ( 20 - 1 ) 2
⇒ 20th term = -4 + ( 19 )2
⇒ 20th term = -4 + 38
∴ 20th term = 34.
First term = -4.
Common difference = 2.
