Given : 1/5 of the rod was painted black

2/3 of rod was painted white

To Find : The part of  rod left without colour

Solution:

Let say Total Rod Length = 15L

Painted black = (1/5)15L  = 3L

Painted White = (2/3)15L = 10L

Remaining Part = 15L - 3L - 10L = 2L

The part of the rod left without colour  = 2L/15L

= 2/15
