This is because the plant produces oxygen in daytime with the help of raw material like carbon dioxide,water,sunlight and chlorophyll. on the other hand at night through respiration it consumes oxygen and release carbon dioxide and also roots of a plant absorb oxygen in the form of water and minerals from the soil for the growth
