• 2. 2 According to reports, the Red Cross is the largest volunteer organization in the United States. They not only provide opportunities for people to be trained in life-saving techniques, but they also respond to natural disasters and provide emergency relief in the United States and abroad.
• 2.3 The Red Cross, founded on the desire to provide nondiscriminatory assistance to the wounded on the battlefield, works to prevent and alleviate human suffering wherever it may be found. Its mission is to protect life and health while also ensuring human dignity.
