According to the given equation

x=y+2  and x=2z+1

y=x−2 and z=2x−1

Applying Pythagoras theorem 

(AC)2=(AB)2+(BC)2

x2=y2+z2

⇒x2=(x−2)2+(2x−1)2 

⇒x2=44(x−2)2+(x−1)2

⇒4x2=4(x2+4−4x)+x2+1−2x
