Kamia has a triangular field with sides 240m, 200m, 360m, where she grew wheat. In
another triangular field with sides 240m, 320m, 400m adjacent to the previous field, she
wanted to grow potatoes and onions. She divided the field in two parts by joining the mid-
point of the longest side to the opposite vertex and grew potatoes in one part and onions
in the other Part. How much area has been used for wheat potatoes and onijons?
(1 hectare = 10,000 m2)

Answer:in triangle ABC

A=200 M ,B=240 M ,C=360 M

Step-by-step explanation:

SEMI-PERIMETER = 200+240+360

                            2

  • = 800/2 =400
  • √400×(400-200)(400-240)(400-360)
  • √400(200)(160)(40)
  • 20√2×100×4×4×10×2×10
  • =20×10×10×4×2√2
  • =16000√2m²(in hecters ) = 1.6×√2

in triangle ADC

  • A=240 M, B=360 M, C=400 M
  • SEMI-PERIMETER  = 240+360+400
  •                                            2
  • S-P = 1000/2 =500
  • √500(500-240)(500-360)(500-400)
  • 10√5×20×10×14×10×100
  • 10×10×10√2×5×13×7×2
  • 2000√455 {IN HECTARS} =0.2√455
  • [0.2√465/2] AS AREA AS AREA ACD = AREA ECD
