Solution :-

we know that,

• 1 digit number are = 1 to 9 = total 9.
• two digits number are = 10 to 99 = 90
• three digits number are 100 to 999 = 900

So,

→ Total digits used in writing page 1 to 9 = 9 digits.

→ Total digits used in writing page 10 to 99 = 90 * 2 = 180 digits.

given that, total used digits are 2169 .

Than,

→ digits used in writing 3 digits number = 2169 - (180 + 9) = 1980 .

Therefore,

→ Total number of pages with 3 digits number = 1980/3 = 660.

Hence,

→ Total pages in the book = 9 + 90 + 660 = 759 pages (Ans.)
