 {(2 - 2 \sqrt{2} })^{2}  =  {2}^{2}  - 2(2)(2 \sqrt{2} ) +  {2 \sqrt{2} }^{2}

 = 4 - 8 \sqrt{2}  + 16

 = 20 - 8 \sqrt{2}
