( { \frac{1}{2} })^{2}  +  ({ \frac{1}{3} )}^{2}  + ( { \frac{1}{4} })^{2}

 =  \frac{1}{4}  +  \frac{1}{9}  +  \frac{1}{16}

 =  \frac{36 + 16 + 9}{144}

 =  \frac{61}{144}

Hence, this is the required answer.
