so multiplying the roots we get

2√2×√5=2√10

Since you are multiplying, just multiply the radicals together.

2√2 x √5 = 2√10

Because 2√10 cannot be simplified anymore,

2√10 is your answer

Note that the radicals have to be the same to be able to add or subtract, but in the case of multiplication and division, you do not need the same radical.
