Let us take two variables 'a' and 'b' which are equal to each other.

By condition,

a = b

or, a² = b²

or, a²-b² = b²-b²

or, (a+b) (a-b) = (a×b)-b² [Because, a = b]

or, (a+b) (a-b) = b(a-b)

or, a+b = b

or, 2b = b [Because, a+b = b+b = 2b]

or, 2 = 1 [Mathematically, impossible]

or, 1 = 2 [Mathematically, impossible]

or, 1+3 = 2+3 [Mathematically, impossible]

or, 4 = 5 [Mathematically, impossible]

or, 2+2 = 5 [Mathematically, impossible]

HENCE, 2+2 = 5 IS PROVED !!!
