1. Hydrogen can be placed in group 1 and group 7 of periodic table. Why?

1)Hydrogen has no place in the periodic table.. So it can be placed with a highly reactive elements such as sodium so it is placed with group 1 and group 7 elements

Hydrogen can be placed in group 1 as it resembles the metallic and other properties of the elements in group 1.It can also be placed in group 17 as it has properties similar to elements in that group.( it has properties similar to halogens)
