We know that 1 decimeter = 1000 cm
so,
volume of brass = 2.2 dm³
= 2.2 × 1000 cm [by converting it into centimeter]
= 2200 cm³
Now,
according to question,
volume of brass = volume of cylindrical wire
so, volume of cylinder is πr²h
2200 cm³ = πr²h
2200 cm³ = 22×(0.125)²×h
2200 cm³ = 22 × 0.015625 × h
h = 2200/ 22 × 0.015625
h = 2200/0.34375
h= 6400 cm = 6.4 dm
So the length of wire is 6400 cm or 6.4 dm.
so,
volume of brass = 2.2 dm³
= 2.2 × 1000 cm [by converting it into centimeter]
= 2200 cm³
Now,

So the length of wire is 6400 cm or 6.4 dm.
