Step-by-step explanation:

by elimination method,

(1)----2x+3y=11

-(2)- -2x+4y=24

7y=35

y=5

substitute y=5 in (1),

2x+3(5)=11

2x=11-15

2x=-4

x=-2

therefore,

y=mx+3

5=m(-2)+3

-2m=2

m=-1
