There are a number of words related to agriculture like culture, tillage, horticulture etc.

A farmer has to carry out a number of works. he has to harvest crops, spray water  in fields, till the fields regularly.

We should respect farmers and should not run only after profession like medical or engineering. A farmer makes the nation possible. Whatever we eat, grow and reaches to us fresh, because it has been grown by farmers. They work very hard for it.

However they face losses and everything depends upon when the first rain would come.

There is even a share of workers whom work as "conservancy workers" in order to earn a bit more in urban areas.
