संप्रभुता का अर्थ होता एक देश के ऊपर शासन करने का पूरा अधिकार उसी देश की सरकार के पास होना और सरकार चुनने से लेकर देश को चलाने के सारे निर्णय लेने का पूरा अधिकार उसी देश की सरकार के पास होना और इस में किसी भी बाहरी तत्व का कोई हस्तक्षेप न होने देना.
