Given:

  • Total surface area of a closed cylinder = 3872 m.
  • Radius of the cylinder = 14cm.

To find:

  • Height & Volume of the cylinder?

Solution:

• Let's consider ABCD is a cylinder.

Where,

  • Radius = 14m
  • TSA = 3872m

• Let Height of cylinder be h m.

⠀⠀━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━⠀

« Now, By using the formula,

→ 2πr (r + h) = 3872

→ 2 × 22/7 × 14(14 + h) = 3872

→ 2 × 22 × 2(14 + h) = 3872

→ 14 + h = 3872/88

→ 14 + h = 44

→ h = 44 - 14

→ h = 30cm

⠀⠀━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━⠀

« Now, Let's find volume,

As we know that,

→ Volume = πr²h

→ 22/7 × 14² × 30

22/7 × 196 × 30

→ 22 × 28 × 30

→ 18480cm³

∴ Hence, Volume of the cylinder is 18480cm³.
