Answer:

We know, in any AP,

2 * any term = previous term + next term

Applying the same identity here,

= > 2( 4x - 1 ) = ( 2x + 1 ) + ( 5x + 1 )

= > 8x - 2 = 2x + 5x + 1 + 1

= > 8x - 7x = 2 + 2

= > x = 4

Hence the required value of x is 4.

Sequence is:

2x + 1 = 2(4) + 1 = 9

4x - 1 = 4(4) - 1 = 15

5x + 1 = 5(4) + 1 = 21

a) 4

b) 9,15,21....
