we multiply the rational number with another rational number and irrational number with another irrational number. so hair 3 and 2 are rational numbers therefore we have multiplied 3 into two that is 6 and under root 2 is irrational and there is not any other irrational number in the given expression that's why we have written under root 2 as it is and then written xy after multiplying them.

Answer:

Hello friend :)

 \tt \dashrightarrow2 \times \sqrt{2}x \times 3y \\ \dashrightarrow \tt 2 \times 3 \times \sqrt{2} \times \red x \times \red y \\ \therefore \tt \: 6 \sqrt{2} xy

Step-by-step explanation:

  • The constant 2 and 3 will get multiplied.

  • The variables will get multiplied.

  • √2 cannot be solved. It's irrational.

  • So, in this way we get the answer.

Hope this helps you :)
