2√2x^2-4x-5x+5√2

2√2x(x-√2) - 5(x-√2)

(x-√2)(2√2x-5)

now,

p(x)=0 ->(x-√2)(2√2x-5)=0

x-√2=0 or 2√2x-5=0

x=√2 or x=5/2√2

verification,

let α=√2 and β=5/2√2

α+β=(√2)+(5/2√2) = 4+5/2√2 =9/2√2 =-(coefficient of x) /(coefficient of x ^2)

αβ=(√2)(5/2√2) = 5√2/2√2

=(constant term)/(coefficient of x^2)
