(2/3)^(4+2) = (4/9)^(2k-3)   (Laws of Exponents)

(2/3)^6 = (2/3)^[2*(2k-3)]

⇒ 6 = 4k-6                         (As exponent bases are same)

⇒ 4k = 12

⇒ k = 3
